On March 6th, 2012 the renewal of the Way Public Library levy passed with an overwhelming margin.

Way Public Library has served Perrysburg since 1881. Our initial collection contained 347 books. Today’s Way Library …
- Provides access to more than 6.9 million items
- Circulates 718,000 items annually
- Offers more than 500 programs each year for adults, teens and children
- Serves more than 5,600 patrons weekly
|

 A few of the many services we offer include:
- Storytimes, and a variety of educational and fun children’s programming
- Outreach, including Book Buddies
- Meeting rooms for community groups
- Summer reading programs for all ages
- Computer classes
- Local history collection
- Book discussion groups
- Educational and cultural programs
- Reference assistance
- Support services for AARP tax preparers

The Way Public Library Board of Trustees asks for your support to renew our existing 1.5 mill levy which expires December 2012.
This levy will allow Way Public Library to:
- Keep existing library hours.
- Preserve the safety and integrity of our heavily used library facility.
- Maintain our vast collection of books, audio books, down-loadable e-books, DVDs and music CDs.
- Continue to provide free programs and special events for the community.
- Satisfy the ongoing demands of meeting room usage.
- Provide necessary resources for our circulation and information departments due to increased activity.
- Stay current with today’s technology and training to meet the growing needs of our patrons.

The renewal of the existing 1.5-mill, 4-year operating levy on the March 6 ballot will provide $848,275 annually beginning in 2013. It will not result in an increase in taxes for Perrysburg residents.
The owner of a $100,000 home will pay $45.95 per year or $34.45 annually for seniors with a homestead exemption.
The proposed renewal levy will provide 47% of our current operating budget.

During the past decade, Way Library has been recognized by the Library Journal as a “Five Star Library” and numerous times by the HAPLR national library index as one of the top ten libraries in the nation in our size category.
Way Library has also been recognized for exceptional programming, staff and service by the Ohio Library Council.
These honors are made possible by community support, a dedicated staff and our Board of Trustees. The trustees and staff work hard to provide a wide variety of materials, special services, and programs on a daily basis in the most cost-efficient manner.
